America's seniors need us now more than ever. For millions of seniors living alone, a knock means nourishment for the body and soul. To a homebound senior, a knock could signal the arrival of the only person they might see all day or all week long. It brings hope, health, nutrition, and care that will completely make their day. A knock from Meals on Wheels can save lives.

But did you know??

Did you know that we have our very own Meals on Wheels site right here in Elm City? It's located at the Train Depot! Many people know that meals on wheels can deliver food to homebound seniors, but have you heard about their congregate sites?

Meals on Wheels - Wilson County provides congregate nutrition sites throughout the county where older Wilson County residents can go each weekday for a meal and fellowship. There is a congregate site held in the Train Depot right here in Elm City! Congregate sites serve the same meals that are delivered through the Meals on Wheels program and each site even has its own home delivery route for the immediate area that congregate site participants, who are able, can volunteer to deliver! These congregate sites help to provide our seniors with the social fellowship and activity they need while providing nutritious meals too. (See below for serving and contact information.)
